The Palliative Care Grief Walking Group meets every Wednesday morning behind the Brockville Arts Centre at 9:00 am. It’s for anyone experiencing grief due to the death of a loved one.

May 25 – Wedgewood Author’s Series
Over the years, several ships have met their fate and sunk along both sides of the St. Lawrence River in the Thousand Islands; some carrying precious valuables and others with cargo of lesser appeal. American author Thomas Pullyblank has put his creativity, a ship’s treasure and kernels of history together to write Napoleon’s Gold, A Legend of the Saint Lawrence River.
Come to hear Thomas Pullyblank at the Wedgewood Retirement Resort, 15 Market Street East, Brockville, Ontario, Canada, at 3 p.m., on Friday, May 25 as Pullyblank unravels the mysterious tale of Napoleon’s Gold. The public is invited and the event is free of charge.

Athens Museum at 1 Main St. opens on Sat., May 26 from 9-4 with a new display as part of Doors Open Ontario. This year’s theme is: Area Crown Grant Land which includes native lands, War of 1812, Loyalist and early surveying connections.

Brockville’s “Shout Sister!” choir is making a “joyful noise” for Victim Services of Leeds and Grenville. Directed by multi-award winning vocalist Georgette Fry it is infectious fun so come and catch the bug! June 1 – Dancing with the Stars
Tickets are now available for the Volunteer Centre of St. Lawrence-Rideau “Dancing with the Stars” of Leeds and Grenville. It’s at the Brockville Memorial Centre. Floor seats are $25; in the stands $20. It’s at 7 pm. Tickets at both locations of Scotiabank and at the door.
June 1 – 2 Legally Blonde
Legally Blonde is a musical with music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin and a book by Heather Hach. The story is based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown and the 2001 film of the same name. It tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend Warner.
